OUR BUSINESS:
Our business is a leading importer and distributor of Secure Identification Production Equipment representing a major Global Manufacturer.
We are a growing business - with a small dynamic team that prides itself on supplying a high-quality product with excellent customer service and delivery in a very competitive market.
ROLE:
The role is for Account Manager/Business Development Manager, overseeing all direct sales throughout the whole Sales Cycle:
+ Existing Account Management: we look after our customers and hate losing a customer!
+ Ongoing customer support for the current "direct sales" population.
+ Identify new leads: we love a hunter!
+ Lead generation: always looking for opportunities across all opportunities.
+ Quoting and pricing.
+ Following up and executing the sale: the ability to close a sale on your own, is a must.
+ Pre-installation liaison with the technical team and facilitating demonstrations when required.
+ Post-installation follow-up with customer where required: we always make sure the customer is happy with their purchase.
+ Maintaining an accurate CRM for the business.
We are a small team managing a growing business, this role will require you to liaise closely with the Manager of the Re-seller Channel, Procurement, Operations, Technical, and Marketing Manager. Communication and effective and efficient teamwork are key attributes required to succeed in this role.
This is an office-based and on-the-road role that requires travel inter-state throughout Australia to canvas new business and manage the existing customer base. This role will also require travel, as required, to our existing reseller partners in PNG and Fiji, and travel to our Supplier Headquarters in USA for training. All travel costs are covered.

Base Salary + Super (negotiable, dependent upon experience) plus:
- Sales Commission - paid in addition to base salary, upon meeting sales and performance metric targets.
- Motor Vehicle Allowance - the role will require customer visits

SKILLS REQUIRED:
This is a Technical Hardware Product that will require the ability to gain product knowledge and software knowledge. Full product training will be provided, along with ongoing training.
Advanced IT skills including networking would be a considerable advantage to successfully sell this product and support our customer's ongoing needs.
Other skills that we are looking for, to be successful in this role include:
+ A demonstrable history of being successful in a B2B Sales Role (retail customer service officer does not count)
+ A demonstrable history of working in a small team.
+ The ability to create a Weekly Sales Plan, with a mix of Account Management and BDM, and with mentoring from the Sales Manager.
+ A high level of organizational skills with a focus on working towards concrete weekly sales targets.
+ Technical ability with IT and Computer Hardware.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Professional email and phone skills are a must. We don’t want to have to correct your spelling!
+ Attention to detail: we don’t want to have to correct the names and codes on your customer quotes.
+ Honesty and reliability are a must! Both to the business, staff, and the customer.
