The Company
Founded as a business over 100+ years ago and employing over 2000+ staff across the globe, our client is one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of industrial processing and construction equipment. With an Australian workforce in the hundreds, the company has a strong presence across Australia, and are presently seeking to expand their sales team in Queensland.
The Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced business development professional. You will be responsible for maximising the sales and margin performance and grow an expanding portfolio of global market leading brands in QLD/NT for the lubrication and processing division. Based in Brisbane and reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director. Your territory covers the whole of QLD and NT with regular travel to regional areas (Cairns, Mackay, Townsville, Rockhampton etc)
You will be working closely with both our client’s fluid processing distribution partners (Pirtek, Cooper Fluids Systems, Custom fluid power) to increase market share and with contractors to evaluate their requirements and provide tailored solutions. You will also be selling to end users (mining, manufacturing etc) and pushing the sale back through a distribution network. This role comes at an exciting growth phase in our client’s business and forms an integral part of our expansion plans for the WA region.
The Candidate
- You will either have experience selling a technical/industrial product (pumps, valves, equipment/machinery, hydraulics, gearmotors etc) OR have experience selling to a distribution network in the fluid processing/lubrication space / have an understanding or contacts within that world
- Strategic account management experience and a structured sales process.
- You will be comfortable with regular intrastate travel (a week away from home a month)
- A positive outlook and can-do attitude is vital to fit in with the business culture.
