The company:
Successful Event/Hospitality organisation is looking for an experienced, proactive Accountant to join their supportive and inclusive team.
The role:
- Bank and credit card reconciliation
- Invoicing – Manage accounts receivable and reconcile payments to CRM
- Month end journals
- Budgeting and reporting
- Advising on strategic and business planning
- Completing all tax-related material (BAS/TAX)
- Manage Accounts Payable
- Management of fixed asset register
- Creating financial statements for internal and external company requirements
- Providing financial analysis and forecasting
- Process improvements and streamlining existing process
- Assisting projects such as migrations, system enhancements
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
Requirements for the role:
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable
- Very deadline driven
- Strong experience with month end/year end procedures
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced computer software skills including Excel
- Experience with XERO is preferred
- Previous experience in the Hospitality/Events industry would be an advantage
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards one) preferable
