We are a fast growing boutique accounting firm located at Norwood and are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic accountant to join our dynamic team.
We have an outstanding client base from a wide variety of industries with a strong focus on added value services that truly make a difference to our clients.
You will be well supported by a great team with many of our staff having had big4 accounting experience. We utilise and develop best practice systems and procedures whilst continually looking to improve the way we operate.
We are seeking a candidate who has two plus years within the industry, currently working in a similar role.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Preparation of income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and superannuation funds
- Preparation of business activity statements
- Supervision/assistance of junior accountants
- Preparation of annual financial statements
- Preparation of management accounts
- Tax planning
- Budgeting and cash flow advisory services
Skills, experience and attributes
- Two plus years experience working in an accounting firm
- A member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, or a desire to gain certification
- Excellent computer skills
- Experience with cloud accounting software, such as Xero, is desired but not a pre-requisite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A strong, professional work ethic
- A high level of attention to detail
- A team player with a strong client focus
- Show initiative and being proactive with work load
- Strong ability to meet client deadlines
