About the RoleThe
Management Accountant reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with the Senior Financial Accountant.The
Management Accountant will be expected to form effective relationships with staff, volunteers, outsourced operators, customers and their families and friends, and external suppliers and contractors.The
Management Accountant will ensure all statutory obligations are met using contemporary management practices and available resources.
Responsibilities include:- Monthly end-to-end of homecare packages/home support program financial management in the AlayaCare CRM (Client Record Management) System, including statement/invoice generation, reconciliations, reporting, and account follow up.
- Provide technical support and guidance to coordinators/stakeholders, addressing any software-related issues or concerns.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of system processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance.
- Assist coordinators/stakeholders in setting up and configuring clients’ budgets in CRM systems, ensuring all necessary features and functionalities are properly implemented.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements and updates in homecare packages/home support program and AlayaCare system, and effectively communicate these changes to coordinators/stakeholders.
- Document and maintain accurate records of client interactions, including support and resolutions.
- Continuously strive to improve the overall stakeholder experience by identifying areas for improvement and suggesting innovative solutions.
- Assist in the development of the annual budget.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
- Work closely with operational teams to understand their financial requirements and provide guidance.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders including auditors, regulatory bodies, funding agencies ensuring compliance.
Required Skill and Attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting and/or finance.
- CA/CPA or equivalent qualification or else proven experience in accounting and finance in a commercial environment
- Responsive customer service ethic and practice.
- Proven ability to think and act strategically and set realistic goals and plans which improve services.
- Financial accounting experience including budgeting and performance analysis.
- Excellent work ethic, energy, passion, and commitment.
- Personal resilience and experience in driving cultural change based on values,
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to research and analyse information and prepare complex reports.
- High competency with Microsoft Excel and ability to work with large volume of financial data.
- Experience in Aged Care or not-for-profit will be highly regarded.
