We are seeking an Accountant to join our Accounts team located at Gordon, which is our head office and oversees the groups dealerships.
McCarroll's Automotive Group is a family owned and operated organisation, which has been servicing the motoring needs of Sydney and the hunter for over 30 years and is one of Australia's fastest growing automotive groups which has manufacture's including Lexus, Maserati, Ferrari, Porsche, Volkswagen, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Volvo, Ram, Jeep and Mazda.
This role has variety with day to day running of the Accounts department and reporting of dealership financials.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Control of Dealership accounts payable - processing invoices, payments, etc.
- Control of Dealership accounts receivable - reconciling accounts, debtors, incoming payments etc.
- Control of Credit card processing, reconciliation and payment.
- Ensure process of bank transfers for creditors and payouts are followed.
- Assist with reconciling major balance sheet accounts - bank, debtors, vehicle inventory, hold-back, warranty.
- Ensure that banking and administrative procedures are followed for the dealership.
- Ensure all queries or banking discrepancies are followed up.
- Provide assistant to Financial Controller and Dealership Accountant
- Data entry
- Filing and other ad hoc accounting tasks as required
Essentially the successful applicant need to have:
- Previous Automotive Dealership experience (Desirable).
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent Communication Skills - both written and verbal
- Working knowledge of the ERA Preferred (dealership management system).

Previous experience is essential.
