Accountant

Empire Holdings (QLD) Pty Ltd, located in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, responsible for Brisbane’s most prestigious hospitality venues; Cloudland, Empire Hotel, Press Club, Valley Hops Brewing and the Warehouse; has an exciting opportunity for a full time Accountant.
Tasks Include:
•Accounts Receivable, Payable, Income Audit and Cost Audit functions
•Performing month-end tasks, reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigating reporting variances if they arise.
•Monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring any variances are actioned and cleared each month.
•Company takings reconciliation for cash, eftpos, credit, accounts and pre-paid.
•Supporting with month-end stakeholder meetings to assist in the ongoing accrual posting process.
•Adhering to a financial reporting timetable and working with the team in ensuring our deliverables are met.
•Assist the Accounting team with any ad-hoc queries.
•Maintain the internal accounting control systems.
Experience:
•Degree Qualification in Commerce/Accounting
•CA/CPA Accreditation
•Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position
•Strong time management skills and the ability to meet all deadlines
•Flexibility, adaptability and logical thinking in approach to tasks
•Strong and proven interpersonal, relationship building, and stakeholder engagement abilities
