The Role:
Civilmart are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team on a full time basis working out of our Larapinta location. This position will report directly to our State Finance Manager and will provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to our Finance team to ensure the control of all receivables and that our strict timeframes are always met.
This is a very dynamic environment, and part of a committed Finance team, so we are looking for an individual who is versatile, agile and who has a can-do attitude. It is essential that the successful candidate is a fast learner and will grasp the facets of our business, finance procedures and systems quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and monitor incoming payments
- Take charge of debtor accounts and post receipts
- Follow up customers for payment and resolve account discrepancies
- Liaise with external credit reporting agencies
- Investigate credit worthiness of potential customers
- Investigate credit collection matters
- Complete monthly reporting requirements
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous experience working in a similar Accounts Receivable role (essential)
- Experience working in the construction/manufacturing industry (desirable)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables & v-lookups)
- Able to manage and foster customer relationships
