Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will see you undertaking day to day Accounting functions, including monthly Balance Sheet and Income Statement reconciliation, Fixed Asset Accounting, preparation and lodgment of BAS, FBT and other statutory obligations, assisting with monthly management reports and EOFY processes. To be successful, you will need to have a track record showcasing robust accounting practices and optimisation of financial processes. Self-motivation, adept problem-solving, and strong communication skills are essential, along with advanced Excel skills, an exceptional work ethic and a commitment to building a culture around integrity, respect and teamwork.

- Provide insightful variance analysis monthly against budget
- Fixed asset accounting and maintenance of fixed asset registers
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management reports
- Assist with the end of financial year requirements and processes
- Assist with tax compliance work, including the preparation and lodgement of BAS, FBT and other statutory/ taxation obligations
- Supporting the rest of the team with their transactional tasks where necessary, including accounts payable, payroll and treasury functions
- Supporting the Financial Controller with ad hoc project tasks including automation and process improvement initiatives
- Partnering with key business stakeholders to support and deliver successful financial results
- Ad-hoc duties as requested
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications desirable
- Proven experience as an Accountant in a diverse business environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software
- Effective communication skills to convey financial information to diverse stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proven attention to detail with demonstrated attitude and thoroughness of work standards
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Highly motivated team player with a “hands on” approach
