Accountant

Overview

Our business in the Logistics and supply chain sector is growing at a rapid rate and we are now seeking an experienced, talented, and committed Accountant to join our amazing team. 

Reporting to the General Manager - Finance, your role will be focused on Management reporting and compliance reporting. You will partner with non finance stakeholders, leadership and executive teams to provide key financial insights to improve decision making and ensure best practice and efficiencies across the business. The successful applicant will also have willingness to get involved in other key projects across the business.

Responsibilities:
 

• Financial Reporting and Month end closing
• AR, AP and Payroll management
• Management of fixed assets and depreciations
• Potential to lead a small team.
• Oversee monthly BAS return and other statutory lodgements
• Monthly management pack; variances, margins analysis
• Cashflow reporting
• Assisting with project and job reporting and budgeting 
• Ensure internal controls and business processes are in place and efficient
• Support to wider finance team
• Provide key commercial insights into business performance and communicate improvement measures
• Build strong relationships and business partnering with operations and commercial team
• Experience in BI reporting/suite preferred.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA qualification is required.
• Solid experience working in finance. 
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
