POSITION SUMMARY
Randstad Senior Finance is currently recruiting a temporary Accountant to provide high-level accounting support and business analytics to the Finance Management team. The successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, while maintaining effective finance processes and systems.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with all members of the Finance team and wider Regional Support Services team.
- Critically evaluate, analyse, and report financial information gathered from multiple sources to stakeholders, providing the appropriate detail as required.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements to deliver required documents.
- Prepare accounts across both Australia and New Zealand, including an understanding of the principles of GST in both countries.
- Liaise and compile information for external auditors as required.
- Assist and support Finance & Analyst Manager with the preparation of the budget for the organisation's projects and operations.
- Assist in the development of relevant accounting and operating policies and system enhancements.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including providing detailed analysis of performance.
- Support with the preparation of BAS.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including residents and their families.
- Support with the preparation of annual compliance reporting for Service Australia for AFR.
- Conduct daily and month-end Bank Reconciliations for AUS and NZ.
- Support the Finance & Analyst Manager with AUS NZ interim and YE audit.
- Conduct month-end processes together with the team, P&L Distribution, etc.
- Ensure the accurate & timely entry of all financial data into the general ledger system.
- Ensure integrity of the month-end processes via Reconciliation and Task controls.
- Provide support to the Finance & Analyst Manager on other ad hoc finance tasks.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Meet the position responsibilities within an agreed reasonable time frame.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with all Facility Managers, administration staff, and Regional Support Services staff.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- 3+ years in an accounting role.
- Previous aged care experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow the process.
- Advanced excel skills.
- MUST have experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and Procura.
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively plan and prioritise a number of competing activities and to work to deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA or CA
