Accountant

The Omani Cultural Attache in Canberra is currently seeking an on-going full-time Accountant. This position is on a full-time basis. Salary is based on experience plus Super.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage Accounts Payable Function ensuring accurate payment processing and allocation.
2. Record expenses accurately in Oracle and Quickbooks.
3. Perform bank reconciliation.
4. Manage salaries and payments to employees.
5. Prepare budgets and analyse variances.
6. Financial reporting to different stakeholders.

Selection Criteria:

1. Excellent communication skills and attention to details, coupled with the ability to build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
2. Proven ability to self-manage multiple tasks at once and to meet deadlines.
3. The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree from an Australian university.
4. Proficiency in Quickbooks, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook skills are essential.
5. Applicant must hold an Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency.
6. Arabic language is an advantage but not essential.
