AHIC (Australia) Pty Ltd are distributors of Carrier and Toshiba residential and light commercial air conditioning products in Australia. We currently seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join our team at our Clayton office.
Reporting to the Manager – Finance and Operations (AUS), this role is generalist in nature, and you will be responsible in covering all general financial and accounting activities of the business This position is an integral part of the team and requires the commitment to take full responsibility of accounting and reporting functions.
Some of the key functional areas of this role, but not limited to, will be
- Preparing and assisting with all end of period (monthly, annual, all cycles) financial and sales reporting process
- All statutory reporting of BAS, FBT, payroll tax, income tax, work comp reporting etc.
- Balance sheet reconciliations and review of all account reconciliation works.
- Assisting with banking and treasury including, hedging/ forward contract, all foreign exchange related accountings
- Coordinating completion of all periodic internal / external audit requirements
- Oversee all bank accounts transactions, AR allocation, AP payments & foreign payments.
- You will be back up for the accounts receivables (collections) and payable function.
- You will assist with fixed asset management & lease management.
- Assisting the SCM with all inventories roll over prep work and monthly cash flow forecast.
Being part of a smaller team, locally, most of the system transactional works are undertaken by our shared services team offshore. You will be a point of contact with the offshore team, to guide them, ensuring all necessary finance and accounting work through them are completed on time and error free.
We are looking for
- Applicants who are qualified CA/CPA or equivalent or on the pathway to completing their professional qualifications
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role with knowledge of consolidated company accounting & reporting in large organisations, preferably with exposure to Hyperion reporting and FP&A experiences.
- Thorough knowledge of statutory tax laws and compliance including payroll knowledge.
- Advanced Excel skills to maintain and create new models.
- Experience with major ERP systems, preferably Oracle or similar.
