The purpose of this role is to help us run our Settlements functions and work with our finance team. We are seeking a Junior Accountant with 2+ years of experience, or an experienced Settlements Officer who is interested in a move into finance.

The successful candidate needs to possess strong communication skills and can handle a complex variety of challenges in their day.  They need to have the confidence to pick up the phone and speak with our stakeholders when needed.  They also need to be able to track tasks and ensure all payment requirements are met, all of the time. A collaborative, positive and team-oriented mindset is essential.  Experience in a banking or loans finance team environment would be highly regarded.

  • Ensure all our banking is processed each day.
  • Process refunds when required.
  • Can liaise with our BDM’s and Customer Support Teams.
  • Ensure all Bank transactions are cleared each day.
  • Monitor our suspense account and ensure all items are cleared in a timely manner.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in finance operations.
  • Be able to review and create sound procedural documentation as required.

This is a great role to be considered, we are seekng someone who has:

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience or Settlements experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA / CA certification having been commenced would be highly regarded.
  • Strong documentation writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to think laterally and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Advanced Excel and strong Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively both in the office and WFH.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
