POSITION
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join our growing finance team. The right candidate will have the opportunity to play an integral role in our continued growth and success.
You will play a pivotal role in taking ownership of transactional accounting tasks.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for –
- Processing fortnightly payroll (including all statutory obligations – super, PAYGW, workcover, payroll tax)
- Partner with schedulers to ensure timely processing of subcontractor invoices and obligations.
- Support business users to ensure supplier invoices are approved and processed in timely manner.
- Partner and support sales team to ensure timely delivery of client invoices.
- Month end reconciliations including balance sheet, bank and credit card
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting process
- Assist with month end financial and management reporting for management and board
You will have the opportunity to work at both our Corporate Office (Richmond) and our Training Centre in Carrum Downs.
ABOUT YOU
You will have a degree in finance or accounting and have completed or be underway with either your CA or CPA. You have at least 4 years of experience working in a fast paced, highly transactional business environment.
- Work experience processing all facets of Payroll.
- Comprehensive experience using MYOB ARL
- Strong Accounts payable and receivable experience
- Ability to form strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to hit the ground running
- A positive and professional team player
- Is always accountable and able to meet deadlines
- A continuous improvement mindset and strong ability to show initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
