AddressDue to our Finance team's rapid expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and self-driven Accountant to join our growing team.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you’ll be a star player providing hands on support for the transactional requirements of the Finance team. You will be highly organised, methodical and structured in your game plan to manage the day-to-day AP tasks whilst also being able to quickly pivot priorities as needed by your team.
Your key responsibilities
- End to end management of the Accounts Payable (AP) function
- Lead, coach and mentor the offshore AP team which provides AP support across the group
- Ownership and management of Medius, the automated accounts payable software
- Supplier set up and maintenance on the AP21 system database
- Management of all invoices which involves timely review, entry and reconciliation to statements
- Timely and accurate processing of all payments
- Timely communication of payments, credit requests and other requirements with stakeholders
- Support the Finance Manager in completing Month End related tasks as required which can include completion of Monthly Agent Sales Commissions, Brand Loyalty reporting and end of month reconciliation for all brands and major suppliers
- Support the Finance Manager to forecast cash flows related to the Accounts Payable side
- Accurate and timely reporting to the Finance Manager and Leadership team of potential issues
- Identify and implement process improvements
What you will bring
- A graduate qualification in accounting or a related field
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Solid knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Proficiency in Excel and experience using accounting software
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skills
- Ability to thrive in fast paced environments and multi-task
- A team player mentality with a readiness to learn and grow
