This is an exciting opportunity to join us as at an entry level and contribute to a high performing team in delivering ‘best in class’ finance capabilities. The candidate will own and execute front to back finance processes, controls, analysis and reporting in support of our core business lines. Duties will include:
- Daily P&L production and validation, month end financial accounting, and performance reporting
- Supporting and executing revenue bookings, accounting and reporting for fee based activities
- Completing tasks to deliver monthly financial close and reporting processes for businesses in support of the group’s financial and regulatory requirements
- Other reporting and control processes including:
- End to end accounting validation by business/product
- Sourcing system and general ledger reconciliations
- Independent trading book valuation checks.
- Supporting the provision of ad-hoc analysis and inputs to business reporting
- Developing your understanding of the products, services, systems and data involved to help drive continuous improvements and deliver scalable processes within an effective control environment
- Challenging and contributing to the continual improvement of processes
- Playing an active role in harnessing technology to create, challenge and enhance processes
- Contributing to documentation of procedures and controls for Finance processes and systems
- Partnering with internal / external stakeholders (peers across Finance and other functions, external auditors etc).
About You
- Core financial accounting skills as obtained through your bachelors degree or other tertiary qualifications
- Experience in an accounting firm with completion of, or progress towards, a professional accounting designation is advantageous, but not essential. Graduate applicants will be considered.
- High level proficiency in Excel along whilst exposure to applications such as Power Query, Power BI, Macro would be beneficial
- Interest and experience in process automation, data management would be viewed favourably alongside an interest in harnessing emerging technology
- Enjoyment of detailed system and data driven tasks whilst also taking a step back in order to understand the businesses being supported and their performance
- Relevant industry related experience will be valued, but is not a necessity. An interest in the financial services industry and the products it delivers is a must.
