We are looking for an accountant with 5 + years experience working in a small accounting firm doing all of the usual accounting firm and tax things... See the list of the key ones below:
- Preparation of financial statements, tax and other returns for companies, trusts & individuals
- Managing the lodgement program for the firm
- Preparation & review of activity statements (BAS/IAS)
- Preparation of Fringe Benefit Returns
- Direct contact with clients and other external service providers
- Assisting with tax planning
- Support junior team member and bookkeeper
Other requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Commerce
- Experience with all client entities, including individuals, companies, trusts & partnerships
- Knowledge or experience with Xero
- Good working knowledge of tax matters including SBE concessions, Division 7A, and CGT
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Commercial awareness and problem solving skills

Ideally working hours would be Mon- Wed 830am-5pm however we are flexible to school hours Mon-Thurs. Additional flexibility in hours after 6 month probation period.
