We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, self-motivated Accountant or Assistant Accountant stepping up, who has a desire to develop and help managing the existing financial reporting framework to support the strategic decision making within the regional business. The Role Reporting into the experienced Financial ControllerPerforming accounts payable and receivable related functions, including processing bill payments, preparing bank reconciliations, and reviewing invoices and billsMaintaining books and records for various trusts, investment vehicles, real estate properties, and other entitiesPerforming month-end closing, recording journal entries, and reconciliationPreparing monthly financial statements, cash flows, net worth statements, and budgetsResponsible for managing cash and liquidity, as well as monitoring account balancesMaintaining supporting schedules, workpapers, and electronic and/or paper filesMaintaining accounting systems and processesSupporting special projects, administrative, and other financial activities as required Your ProfileExcellent accounting and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detailStrong proficiency in Microsoft ExcelAbility to adapt to shifting priorities and effectively execute in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlinesProven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with complete discretionExcellent communication skills; comfortable interacting and communicating with all levels of the organisationAbility to work independently and collaboratively Ideally you will have:Bachelor's degree (or higher) in accountingCA / CPA and public accounting experience highly desired - part qualified or qualified3+ years' experience in a public accounting firm, family owned business, or corporate Apply Today Applications will be accepted by submitting your CV directly via email to Will Cannaby on will.cannaby@roberthalf.com.au or by pressing the Apply button, cover letters are not required.
