The Opportunity
Kelly+Partners Griffith is situated in one of regional NSW’s most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities. This busy and challenging role is based in Griffith, NSW and would suit a highly motivated individual, with the desire to develop a long term career in public practice.
Reporting to the Business Services Manager, the key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
· Preparing financial statements, income tax returns and business activity statements for SME clients (Company, Trust, Partnerships & Sole Trader)
· Reviewing work completed by junior staff, mentoring and training those staff where required
· Preparing profit projections
· Assisting clients with software reconciliations and other ad hoc queries
· Assisting with team workflow management
· Attending to additional lodgement requirements including Division 7A loans, Capital Gain Tax (CGT) and Fringe Benefits tax
· Maintaining up to date knowledge of Australian taxation and other relevant legislation.
The ideal applicant will:
· possess degree qualifications in Accounting/Commerce or equivalent
· have or be willing to obtain CA/CPA qualifications
· possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting role or equivalent
· demonstrate effective time management skills with excellent attention to detail
· contribute to team culture by displaying professionalism, integrity and respect whilst being innovative and proactive.
