We are looking for an Accountant for a six-month period to assist with the provision of financial and management reporting to meet management and statutory requirements, including the delivery of timely and accurate information, maintenance of reporting systems, financial policies and processes, reconciliations, internal controls compliance obligations. This role will report to the Financial Controller – Pharmacy Franchise.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing end of month, including preparation of general journals, rebate journals and recharges, intercompany transactions, accrual entries and monthly reports
- GST and FBT returns
- Assisting with monthly KPI reporting and quarterly/annual statistical data
- Contributing to the oversight of management and maintenance of reporting systems
- Assisting with budget compilation and forecasting processes
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management reporting and cash flow forecasting
- Supporting year end audit processes
- Assisting with process improvement projects
- CA / CPA qualified
- Passionate to join an evolving company with the ability to adopt
- Minimum 3-4 years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Regulations, and working knowledge of business law principles
- Experience with coordinating and completing monthly management reporting cycles
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly in Excel
- With a key eye for detail, you’ll have a willingness to solve problems
- A serious work ethic and a thirst for job satisfaction that sees you putting up your hand to grab opportunities
- Ability to hit the ground running
- Pharmacy Finance experience desirable
