Our Company is evolving, and we are currently preparing for an extended period of growth across our business within our Civil & Construction, Bulk & Detailed Earthworks, pipeline and dewatering space throughout Western Australia.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Accountant to join our friendly Finance Team. You will play an important part in managing all financial aspects of our projects, whilst covering two (2) months leave.
With a hands-on, can-do attitude, you will be a consistent support to the Accounts and Management Teams across the business including:
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing budgets and forecasts including Cash Flow Forecasting
- Management reporting (Weekly / Monthly)
- Maintaining Finance Registers
- Journalling, accruals and the full end of month financial requirements
- Processing payroll, Accounts Receivable, Payable and client invoicing
- Vendor and client maintenance
- Data Input and reconciliation via Excel, Xero Accounting and MEX Maintenance System
- Delivering day to day accounting support to all levels of the business.
You
The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, responsible, with excellent communication skills, and:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, commerce or accounting
- Three years or more experience in a similar position
- Advanced skills and competence with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing demands
- Proficiency in financial management practices and systems - XERO or MEX experience highly advantages
- Experience in conducting reconciliations and ensuring financial accuracy.
- High level of attention to detail
- A fast learner who is self-motivated
