This role will report to the Superintendent Project Controls and provide planning support for the Integrated Schedule (IS) within the Integrated Scheduling and Planning division. The Planner will be expected to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders and form relationships with those they support.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of the Primavera P6 Integrated Schedule – a representation of the key scheduled activities to deliver the RTIO medium term plan (10YP).
- Preparation of requests for schedule updates
- Confirm assumptions and activity dependencies represent the projects value chain.
- Ensure taxonomy and naming maintained.
- Collection of updated schedule information from MS Project, P6, Excel, Power BI and Powerpoint.
- Ingestion of the collected schedule information into P6.
- Alignment of the ingested schedule information.
- Publishing of the schedule.
- Reporting the schedule information to various stakeholders
- Includes critical paths.
- Understanding stakeholder reporting requirements.
- Actioning requested schedule variations.
- Running and communicating scenarios for impact assessments.
- Resource loading and levelling select activities.
- Engage with stakeholders as required to maintain IS insightfulness.
- Be proactive and bold to raise areas of concern to the Specialist Project Controls and Project Lead/Manager to avoid surprises.
- Develop and maintain a master Integrated Schedule to deliver the RTIO medium term plan.
- Analyse each subject matter expert input, identify, and evaluate schedule risks that can derail delivery and provide solutions for prevention.
- Participates in schedule review meetings and update schedules.
- Assists in maintaining the integrity of the Integrated Schedule.
- Supports development of regular reports, including proper professional analysis and deviations to original plan/baseline.
- Supports compliance with standardised processes, systems and tools.
- Maintains the relationships with planning stakeholders.
- Provides technical support to project stakeholders.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 project management and scheduling software.
- Relevant site construction experience, certification, diploma or degree acceptable to a recognised and relevant professional body.
- Professional certification or planned pathway to professional certification with a relevant professional body.
- 5+ years of experience in project controls delivery.
- 5+ years of overall professional experience, preferably in mining or large-scale studies within a matrix organisation.
