ABOUT THE ROLE
This role will lead the accounts function of the business. You will report directly to the CEO and assist in the formation of monthly financial reports and budgets.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all company accounting and statutory requirements are complied with and kept up to date.
This includes payrolls, superannuation, and management of employee entitlements, accounts receivables and payables, reconciliations, BAS and IAS lodgements, preparation of PAYG, Payroll Tax, FBT and other statutory returns, fixed asset and depreciation schedules, financial forecasting, budgeting and cash-flow management.
This position is based in our West Perth office.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You will have:
- 3-5 year experience working for an Australian company in an accounting or senior bookkeeping role.
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting is preferred but not essential.
- CPA or CA qualified is preferred but not essential.
- Proven experience in Xero, MS office applications including Microsoft Dynamics 365 (E).
- Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures (E).
- Proficiency in using databases and accurately recording information (CRM/relevant database) (E).
- Proven experience of ApprovalMax and Employment Hero, or similar software.
- Experience with CRM software and integration with accounting and payment systems.
- A willingness to be flexible and possess an ability to multitask.
- Strong customer service skills.
- A self-motivated contributor, who achieves results autonomously and can work in a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- An ability to operate under pressure.
- A willingness to put in extra effort at critical times for financial reporting and budgeting.

- Experience in managing a small accounts team is preferred.
