About the Position

The City of Stirling’s Strategy and Performance team is looking for an experienced Senior Grants Officer on a 12-month temporary contract 3 days per week. You will be helping to assist the community at the local level through the administration of grants that align with the City’s priorities in Sustainable Stirling 2022-2032.

As the Senior Grants Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting community initiatives by managing grant programs and funding opportunities. You will work closely with community groups, organisations, and individuals to facilitate access to grants and ensure compliance with funding requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The duties of the Senior Grants Officer will include but are not limited to:

  • Grant Management: Administer and oversee grant programs, including application processes, assessment, and reporting.
  • Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with community stakeholders, providing guidance on grant applications and project development.
  • Compliance: Ensure grant recipients adhere to funding agreements and reporting obligations.
  • Research and Evaluation: Identify funding opportunities, assess project proposals, and evaluate program outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and external partners to maximise community impact.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Community Development, Social Sciences, Business).
  • Demonstrated experience in grant management, preferably within a local government context.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse community groups.
  • Knowledge of funding regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

This temporary part-time position is a Level 7 Inside Workforce Agreement positions which attract a salary from $93,235 to $98,143 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.

To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have ability obtain a:

  • A copy of Australian driving licence
  • National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
  • Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
  • The right to work in Australia
