What You will do:

You will be responsible for business development and account management opportunities across all businesses, sectors/markets via all POMT services and solutions. You will grow and manage existing and new customer relationships, maintaining our unrivalled client base and leveraging additional solutions and services.

You will ensure Sunnyday Carers offering is appropriately presented to the market and drive the sales pipeline activity to closure.

Position purpose

This role is responsible for overseeing the overall financial function of the business and being able to manage and provide insight into all financial matters. 

Responsibilities/Job Requirements for Accounts Manager

Core objectives include: 

  • Responsible for the revision and analysis of company performance to produce quality management reports.
  • Interpret Accounts & financial information and provide commercial commentary communication on this information.
  • Develop process improvements to streamline reporting.
  • Responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting on profitability and overall business position
  • Responsible for providing insights into company expenditure.
  • Build credibility with business units through provision of first-class internal stakeholder management.
  •  Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
  • Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
  • Maintain the financial health of the organization.
  • Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.
  • Develop trends and projections for the firm’s Accounts & finances.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
  •  Manage the preparation of the company’s budget forecast along with cash flow projections.
  • Timely and proper disposition of claims in accordance with coverage amounts.
  • Prepare end of month and end of financial year reports
  • Calculate leave entitlements, salary variances, update employee details.
  • Ensure complete and sound claim settlements, legal reviews, and investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures. 
  • Initiate process of Tax Return for Sunnyday Carers and follow end to end process.
  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Setting up new starters and managing termination payments
  • Ad hoc administration as required.
  • The above list is not exhaustive, and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the company
  • Payroll Processing on Fortnightly basis.

 

Accounts MANAGER’S SPECIFICATION Qualifications 

  • Professional Master’s degree & Relevant Experience
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Advanced working knowledge of NDIS Budgeting.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Accounting Software e.g Xero, Employment Hero Etc.

Knowledge

  • Relevant knowledge applicable to the role and managing expectations of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Time management/organization: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
