Our client, a global hedge fund has numerous Junior Fund accounting positions available to join an ever growing team.
If you have 1-2 years relevant market experience and are studying your CA/CPA this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The day to day responsibilities of the role include:
- Preparing of daily, weekly and monthly unit prices and update of general ledger / unit pricing system and supporting work papers within strict reporting deadlines
- Maintain and control the general ledger and various sub-ledgers
- Prepare financial statements, footnotes and partner capital statements
- Prepare limited partner and general partner allocations
- Prepare trial balances and work paper product
- Process standard and complex bookkeeping entries
- Involved within a full scope of transaction activities including full cycle accounting
- Review current Fund Accounting processes. Propose, build and implement tools to improve the efficiency of the current process or mitigate the risk surrounding the current process.
- Client reporting and invoicing
- Preparation of year end statutory accounts
- You will be working on managed funds, private equity funds and listed investment companies, whilst liaising with clients, auditors and other parties
- Tax work including the preparation of income calculations, withholding tax and BAS/IAS
- Review private equity fund client’s partnership agreements, PPM’s and other materials
To be considered for the role you will be:
- CA/CPA qualified or partly qualified
- At least 2 years of prior experience in an accounting firm
- Highly competent in Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong team player with an ability to work autonomously
- Be able to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
