THE ROLE
- This position will be located in Bibra Lake, supporting the Managing Director with all aspects of the financial function including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll of up to 15 people
- Data entry and database management (ZOHO & EmploymentHero)
- Administration support for the broader team including document management and reporting.
- Adhoc reception duties including managing office stationery supplies & assisting with mail.
TASKS
- Managing Accounts Receivable functions, and uploading invoice to Invoice Financing Portal on weekly basic
- Managing Accounts Payable functions, including foreign currency payments
- Processing fortnightly payroll including lodgement & reporting requirements.
- Managing the general ledger including overseeing the monthly balance sheet, banking & credit card reconciliation
- Completion of the monthly accruals, journals, overseeing fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Manage and implement controls to ensure adequate cash flow
- Preparation of monthly BAS reporting, and payroll tax.
- Preparation of monthly documentation to Invoice Financing
- Assisting in process improvement and systems enhancement initiatives
- Proactively identify new initiatives that could benefit the organisation
- Maintain accurate accounting records
- Ensuring Accounting standards and policies are adhered to
- Deliver Monthly reports to the Managing Director, including Revenue / Expenses, AR and AP Ledgers
- Studies current and new legislation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
- Must have a Diploma or equivalent in Finance/Accounting/Business/Commerce
- 5 years’ experience working in a similar role
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Process and deadline driven mindset with a keen eye for detail
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform data and statistical analysis to spot trends and anomalies
- Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other financial software and tools for reporting and analysis
