Hays is excited to be partnering with a Chinese global banking powerhouse located in the heart of the CBD. They are a dynamic and growing finance team looking for an Accounting Manager to join the company in the reporting function of the finance business. Your new role
The position of Accounting Manager will be heading up the reporting tasks within a team of 8, who all focus on different niche banking functions (tax, reporting etc)
- APRA reporting related to the bank - including monthly and quarterly APRA reports and EFS reports preparing, checking and submission
- The daily maintenance and development of internal business analysis system based on Tableau
- Asset & liability management related work, business analysis and forecasting.
- Budget management and performance assessment of the branch and its internal departments and sub-branches
- Policy/Procedure Documentation- regular review of policies and procedures for reporting, taxation and budget management
- Communication and cooperation with internal departments and external auditors
- Ad hoc duties-including ad hoc reports and other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Department Head
What you'll need to succeed
- Mandarin & English speaking and writing skills are essential
- Bachelor’s degree and above in Accounting, Finance, database or related field
- CA, CPA or CFA qualification
- Upwards of 3 years’ experience within a financial institution related area, APRA report, data management and analysis working experience in banks is highly regarded
- Strong Spreadsheet skills including VBA, SQL, with skills in data analysis tools such as Tableau, Power BI is highly preferred
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated, capable of multi-tasking, and willingness to learn and develop within the role
