For more than 60 years, we've been providing exceptional products and services and unparalleled customer experiences, driven by a genuine care for our clients' professional and financial well-being the heart of what we do is being there for those our communities rely on.The newly created role of Agency Operations & Governance Manager will assist in enabling the delivery of the Guild Insurance Underwriting Agency strategy by ensuring effective and efficient operations and governance of Guild's Underwriting Agency partnerships. Reporting to the Manager, Underwriting Agencies and based in Sydney, Melbourne or Newcastle, your new role will make the best of your strong insurance operations and governance experience and your natural relationship-building skills.There are four key components to the role (a full position description is available on request), they are:Operations Management
- Design and lead operations management for all underwriting agencies, ensuring alignment with Guild's internal policies.
- Oversee policy wording, PDS, TMD approvals, external marketing documentation, binder guidelines, and agency compliance manuals.
- Coordinate the annual NPS survey for all Agency partners, review results, and implement action plans.
- Ensure compliance with the Agency and AR framework by maintaining and storing relevant documents.
- Lead and oversee the processing, reconciliation, and storage of all Agency Bordereaux within required timeframes.
- Develop and manage key relationships with new and existing Underwriting Agencies and their executive teams.
- Foster strong internal and external partnerships through monthly meetings with partners.
- Ensure each Agency maintains compliance artefacts, updating for regulatory changes, and aligning with GIL's obligations and Underwriting Policy.
- Maintain the Agency risk register, alert leaders to significant risks, and stay updated on regulatory trends.
- Prepare performance reports, coordinate annual audits, and assist in due diligence and onboarding of new Agencies.
- Maintain the Agency pipeline and research new Underwriting Agency partnerships in line with Guild Insurance's Risk Appetite.
- Prepare evaluations and business cases for new Agencies and plan and deliver actions to drive profitable growth.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver strategic campaigns to maximise partnership potential.
- Your current skills and experience show that you've recently thrived in an operations and governance related role in the general insurance arena. Underwriting, underwriting agency, general insurance broking or similar. You may also have been a Security Holder.
- You've backed this experience up by ensuring you are suitably qualified (ANZIFF Diploma and RG146)
- You're an effective influencer with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, capable of working collaboratively across teams and levels.
- You're a born problem solver with strong operations and governance management skills, who can navigate ambiguity and drive practical solutions.
