Job Description: Accounts & Administration Team Leader
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts & Administration Team Leader to join our dynamic team in the IT industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and administration functions. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of accounts and administration professionals, providing guidance and support as needed
- Oversee all aspects of accounts receivable including invoicing, cash receipts, collections, and account reconciliations
- Handle accounts payable processes such as vendor payments, purchase orders processing, expense reimbursements in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure accuracy in financial data entry into Xero accounting software system
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve any billing or payment issues promptly
- Streamline administrative processes to enhance efficiency within the department
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in accounting with expertise in both accounts receivable and payable functions
- Proficiency in using Xero accounting software
- Exceptional organizational abilities with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- A high degree of technology profieciency
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Experience managing a team
- Understanding of procurement processes
- Previous experience working within the IT industry
- Previous experience using workflow systems
- Tertiary Qualification in Accounting or related field
