Salary: $70,000 plus 11 % superannuation
Our client, Singhsta Homes Pty. Ltd. is a is a construction company devoted towards customer satisfaction and top-grade delivery of projects. Singhsta Homes has a highly skilled team that can guarantee customer satisfaction on completion and the team works hard to bring custom ideas and plans for the homes into reality by taking into consideration every other factor like budget, time, quality, security, safety and several others.
The client is looking to fill a full-time position for a skilled and experienced Accounts Clerk. This role will involve providing quality accounting and administrative assistance. To be successful in this busy role, you will have excellent time management and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The primary purpose of the Account Clerk position at Singhsta Homes Pty. Ltd. is to provide comprehensive accounting and clerical support to the accounting department, ensuring the accurate and efficient management of the company's financial records and transactions.
This role is integral in maintaining the financial health of Singhsta Homes Pty. Ltd. and its associated entities by handling responsibilities such as accounts payable and receivable management, financial reconciliation and reporting, cost analysis and budget support, documentation and compliance, and general ledger management.
The Accounts Clerk position is essential for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements, thereby contributing to the overall success and sustainability of Singhsta Homes Pty. Ltd.
Requirements
• Relevant qualification at the level of an AQF equivalent Cert IV level qualification or higher in accounting is required., OR at least one year relevant work experience.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field is essential.
In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Processing, recording and reporting payroll which includes running Salary/Wages, Tax and Superannuation calculations and payments
• Maintaining accounts Payable and Receivable including invoice Processing, Payment Disbursement and Receivable Tracking
• Processing purchases orders, invoicing and recording all transactions
• Regularly reconcile accounts to identify and correct discrepancies, ensuring all financial records accurately reflect the company’s transactions.
• Maintain accurate and organised financial records for all transactions and contracts. Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and legal requirements.
• Assist an Accountant for quarterly GST reporting
• Responsible for cost analysis and budget support including expenditure analysis and budget preparation support
• Responding to all accounting queries, data entry, record keeping and filing
• Record keeping, tax preparation assistance, audit support and general ledger management
• Schedule and execute payments to suppliers, contractors, and service providers
• Monitor incoming payments from clients and tenants of Singhsta Homes Pty. Ltd. and associated entities. Send reminders for overdue payments and reconcile discrepancies between invoiced amounts and payments received
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets by gathering historical data on expenses and revenues, projecting future costs, and aligning with strategic goals of Singhsta Homes Pty. Ltd.
• Provide timely assistance and support to company personnel on accounting-related queries, facilitating smooth financial operations across all departments.
• Assist in tracking expenditures against budget allocations for various projects and departments within Singhsta Homes Pty. Ltd.
Candidate
You will need to possess the following skills and personal attributes:
• Knowledge of Accounting and Finance Processes
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reports that comply with accounting standards
• Excellent organisational and planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience in MYOB and EXCEL, as well as an understanding of MS Office
• Motivated with initiative to solving problems
• Time management and prioritizing skills
• Exceptional analytical skills
