Alfex CNC Australia is a leading importer, distributor, sales & service agent of CNC Machine Tools, Laser Systems for cutting and engraving and industrial 3D printing systems, with locations around the country. We require a new Accounts Officer in our recently built Thomastown HQ to ensure we continue to provide the highest level of service to our customers
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Accounts Officer to fill a part-time position 3 days per week.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting Responsibilities
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Customer invoicing
- Accounts Receivable management including the proactive management of deposits and final payments
- Accounts payable including monitoring and reporting to management
- FX / International transactions – experience an advantage but not essential
- Maintain orderly accounting records and documents
- Reconcile and follow up credit card transactions across the business
- Assist the team with accounts related queries and issues
- Identify any potential errors occurring and propose a solution to rectify the issues
- Liaise with external accountants
Reception & General Admin Responsibilities
*Some of the tasks listed below would be to assist our existing reception/admin staff in their absence
- Greeting and assisting visitors
- Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls
- Receive and sort daily mail and couriers
- Assist with other general administrative tasks as required
- Friendly, professional and approachable
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous bookkeeping experience, preferably in Finance Administration and Accounts Payable / Receivable or general finance.
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines, and work independently
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Comfortable working with accounting software packages, preferably Xero
- Salesforce/CRM experience preferred but not essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse range of customers
