My Not for Profit client based in North Adelaide requires an experienced, full time Accounts Officer to join their high performing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing both accounts payable and receivable duties along with excellent communication skills.The Responsibilities include: Accounts Payable and Receivable:Record and process accounts payable, refunds and receivablePrepare batch files, set electronic banking transactions and B-paysMonitoring, recording and reconciliations of direct debit paymentsPrepare and review batch payment reports to ensure banking details are correctCreate and maintain a comprehensive filing system of the financial transactionsRegular monitoring of debtor payments through aged receivables, timely follow up on unpaid invoices and deal with account inquiriesSet up customer and supplier cards, verify ABN and account details.Weekly bank reconciliationsMonthly reconciliations of the general ledger clearing accountsDaily data sourcing of member and donation payments Reconciliation of member payment data and of events and venue hire Recording of the receipts in the financial systemMonthly reconciliation of membership, donations and appeals paid via onlineManagement of the appeal accounts (in collaboration and consultation with the Finance Manager): Record donation receipts in relevant appeal accountsVerify, record and process expenses in relevant appeal accountsMaintain a comprehensive filing system for the appeal accountsWeekly appeal bank accounts reconciliationsPrepare monthly interest distribution schedules, record interest in relevant appeal accountsProduce and disseminate quarterly and ad hoc appeal statementsPrepare annual administration fee collection scheduleRecord and process the administration feeTimely response to appeal inquiries.Ideally you will have:Strong proven experience in a similar positionExperience working with Accounting systemsStrong Microsoft Suite experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to work well in a team and autonomouslyIf you are interested in this full time opportunity, please apply online with your updated CV.
