The Role
To provide effective and efficient full function Accounts Payable services to the internal and external stakeholders of Covalent Lithium.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of all payments as per defined standard procedures and processes.
- Handle complaints from vendors and internal clients, payment status and billing.
- Collate and analyse critical AP and payments data to help track targets and performance targets to be set annually i.e. AP aging reports to track performance.
- Provide training to cost owners and promote operating discipline with reference to AP processes, coding of purchase requisitions and time to payment with the objective of improving quality of reporting and achieving payment deadlines.
- Provide day-to-day advice on the P2P process to end users (i.e. cost owners) in order to maintain a high standard of efficiency within the P2P cycle throughout the organisation.
- Work with Procure2Pay specialist to manage end to end supplier activities as part of the transactional purchasing processes and to ensure all vendor master data is appropriately maintained.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting and provide data to resolve external and internal audit queries.
- Provide input into any potential systems implementation activities that concern the P2P process.
- Identify and highlight potential risks and issues with the P2P process, or any specific payments
Role Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- High degree of accuracy and eye for detail
- Proficient time management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, positive, and high performing approach to work
- Skilful in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
