Accounts Payable Executive

Our client is dedicated to delivering excellence in specialty retail, and this role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a the Finance team in a thriving industry.

Role Overview: 
As an Accounts Payable Executive, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions for our client. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for accurately processing accounts transactions, ensuring timely payments and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.  This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to the financial success of the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Process Accounts Payable transactions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliation of accounts
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, maintaining compliance with accounting principles and company policies
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues in a timely manner
• Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as required
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes as required

Skills and attributes required:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable position, preferably within the retail industry
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, with strong Excel skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reconciliation
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively
