Background to the role:
We are currently seeking a suitable individual to join as an Accounts Payable Officer based in Melbourne on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing quality Accounts Payable shared service support to the Finance Director (direct reporting line) and Finance Manager (dotted reporting line), and accurate and timely processing and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable
- Review and process trade and non-trade supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring accuracy and compliance to company policies and procedures
- Prepares and processes electronic bank transfers and payments
- Ensure timely payment of supplier invoices
- Employee expense reimbursement claim review and processing
- Supplier account reconciliation
- Supplier masterdata maintenance
- Analytical Accounts Payable reporting to support cashflow preparation, aging analysis, timely payment analysis, and payment terms analysis
- Support internal and external audits
- Process improvement to streamline AP processes
- Facilitate human resource policies and procedures.
- Adhere to and drive all OHS policies, programs and procedures as directed and implemented by the Company
- Other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Finance Director and Finance Manager.
Candidate attributes required:
- Demonstrated previous experience in a similar Accounts Payable role
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent computer literacy including previous experience in JDE highly preferable
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office productivity tools and databases (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- High attention to detail and ability to and maintain confidentiality
- Good time management skills, with ability to meet deadlines
- An outgoing "can do" personality and flexible, collaborative approach to work
