Accounts Payable Officer

A market-leading Australian organisation within the Education sector is looking to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Officer - immediately!

You will be a part of a medium-sized Accounts Payable team and will be involved with the end-to-end process reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Manager.

This business is renowned for its great culture and staff retention within its team and is based in Melbourne CBD. The successful candidate will be brought on as a temporary worker, expecting to hire you permanently (full-time hours).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Matching, batching and coding invoices
- Processing end to end Accounts Payable process
- Ensuring transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised Accounts Payable ledger
- Reconciliation of supplier payments and inter-company accounts
- Assisting with month-end closing
- Other general finance administration duties

The successful applicant should have:

- Previous experience in an End to End Accounts Payable role
- Tech savvy, can pick up systems quickly - Using software such as Xero, SAP, MYOB and Microsoft 365 is desired.
- Patient; sometimes work can be a little bit messy in terms of how the industry operates
- Exquisite attention to detail - this is critical
- High volume invoice processing experience.
- Excellent communication skills, positive energy
