About the role
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team to support with the following finance activities:
- Process invoices in a timely manner ensuring accuracy, compliance and appropriate record keeping.
- Complete regular Raiser's Edge uploads into the Finance system.
- Complete monthly debtors/creditors and balance sheet reconciliations and recommend action to address items of variance.
- Manage and maintain the customer/supplier master data within the finance system.
- Follow up and report on monthly aged receivables/payables and escalate as required.
- Ensure internal financial delegation forms are completed, filed and complied with.
- Prepare regular supplier payment runs in accordance with company procedures.
- Process the journals that are required for the completion of monthly financial statements.
- Ensure report keeping are maintained adequately and on year-end basis and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Support and participate in relevant internal audits.
Let's talk about you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Vocational qualification in bookkeeping or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience in similar role including processing Accounts Payable and assisting with general ledger reconciliations.
- A systematic and methodical approach to tasks with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications and experience using a contemporary finance system.
- Demonstrated ability to use discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
- A strong customer service focus and willingness to assist your colleagues.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
