The Opportunity 

Our client is a large and well-known ASX business. They have been on an impressive growth trajectory and are continuing to dominate the Australian market, and as such, they are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Officer to join the team. Our client's office is easily accessible in Melbourne's CBD, and they facilitate career development through their dynamic, supportive and innovative environment. 

This role will initially be a 6 month contact with opportunity to transition into a permanent opportunity. 

The Challenge 

Reporting directly to the Shared Services Manager, your responsibilities will include: 

• End-to-end processing of invoices
• Allocation of payments
• Maintaining relationships with vendors and dealing with inquiries
• Cash flow forecasting and generating payment runs
• Auditing and uploading of corporate card expenses
• Completing GL reconciliations, vendor statement reconciliations & end of month journals
• Providing expertise for all queries relating to invoice exceptions, payments and allocations

• Experience working within an Accounts Payable position 
• Ideally, you have previously used SAP 
• A proactive nature to assist in streamlining processes
• A high attention to detail and a strong work ethic as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
