OVERVIEW
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team, to assist in a backlog of Accounts Payable functions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the CFO to ensure finance is viewed positively by the operations team by enabling supportive working practices.
- Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable and bank reconciliation process for all entities in the consolidated Group.
- Actively manage debtors to ensure accounts are paid on time.
- Prepare aged debtors' reconciliations to manage outstanding payments, approved payment plans, and repayment schedules.
- Perform Accounts Payable duties, including the creation of invoices.
- Assist in streamlining and automating the high volume of daily transactions.
- Identify possible process improvements in the role and discuss these with the Finance Manager and CFO.
- Support other members of the finance team during peak workload times.
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS
- 12 months+ experience working in Accounts Payable
- 12 months+ experience working with Xero
- High degree of interpersonal communication
- Ability to be flexible and agile in a challenging and changing environment.
- High degree of problem-solving abilities and initiative
- High level of attention to detail
