Accounts Payable Officer

Our Company

ATS Building Products is one of Australia’s largest importers of building materials, timber, and engineered wood products. 

We are currently seeking a talented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance Team in our Northmead head office.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

• Processing a high volume of invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and verify receipt of goods/services.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Monitoring payment deadlines and resolving any outstanding invoices or payment delays.
• Communicating with vendors and suppliers to address inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and negotiate payment terms.
• Prepare credit applications to support our growth and expanding product range.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

To be successful you will also have

• Prior experience (3+ years) in a high-volume AP environment.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Strong administrative skills, be organised, thorough, proactive and reliable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software.
