About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to join our growing Finance team.
The role will be responsible for making payments owed by the company to suppliers and other creditors, paying vendor invoices, and recording the company’s short-term debts (Accounts Payable)
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Processing invoices and verifying financial data to maintain Accounts Payable records.
- Maintain records of outstanding payables.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial documents for payment, auditing, and tax purposes.
- Protect the business against unintentional overpayment.
- Clarify any questionable invoice items, prices, or receiving signatures.
- Verify invoices against Purchase Orders and ensure goods and services have been received, prior to issuing payment to vendors.
Our ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of office equipment with above-average computer skills.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you will have:
- a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an administrative role, preferably Accounts Payable.
- Have a basic understanding of book-keeping and accounting skills.
- Possess good analytical skills.
- Be detail-orientated, with strong time management skills.
- Above-average computer and technology skills.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong ability to problem solve.
- Hold a current NSW Drivers Licence.
