Office Allrounder

OFFICE ALLROUNDER

PERMANENT PART-TIME – 1 or 2 days per week.   $32/hour.

Based in Hurstville, our small family owned company imports raw materials for Australian manufacturers, into all states of Australia.   The majority of our imports are into Sydney and Melbourne, and we utilise the services of a third-party warehousing/distribution company.

Reporting directly to the owner of the business, you will be required to undertake the Office Allrounder functions of our small business. 

We are seeking a mature minded individual, to take on a job share role.  Working day/s will be Thursday and/or Friday for this permanent part-time job share position.

About your new role:

• Answering all incoming calls and providing over the phone customer service
• Processing client orders
• Responding to incoming emails using Microsoft Outlook
• Liasing with Sydney/Melbourne Warehouse for daily client deliveries – by email and phone
• Invoicing and End of Month Statements distribution using Xero
• Warehouse stock control and costs
• Preparation of paperwork for incoming sea freight shipments
• Processing all outgoing payments
• Liasing with Customs Agent and various transport companies for deliveries of containers
• Updating stock records using Excel spreadsheets – for stock in/stock out
• All other General office duties 

What you need to succeed:

• Intermediate Excel/Word skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Outlook skills
• Ability to cover other part-time employee when they’re on annual leave
• Ability to work alone, and in a small office environment
• General knowledge of both Accounts payable and receivable duties
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail is a must
• Ability to problem solve
• Have industry knowledge of Importing procedures and documentation
• Basic Xero accounting software skills desirable – training will be provided

Working from home will be discussed as a potential option, after training and three month probation period.
