Permanent Part Time/Full Time – Accounts Payable Officer

Tyree Transformers is located in Braemar at the gateway to the beautiful Southern Highlands of NSW within a very short distance from the Mittagong exit from the Hume Motorway.
Tyree’s blue chip customer base includes electrical, water and transport utilities, mining sites, renewable energy businesses and numerous other clients in all states of Australia and the wider South Pacific Region.
Tyree Transformers has focused significant investment in development and production of transformers and substations that are invested heavily in property, plant and equipment and personnel over the last ten years during which sales and employment have grown astronomically. This strong investment in the future means the company is perfectly situated to play a very strong role in Australia’s transition to renewable energy over the coming years.
To assist in managing this ongoing growth the Company is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to fill a new permanent vacancy. Reporting to the Financial Controller this newly created role would be well suited to a person looking for a stable and rewarding professional career and looking to expand their skills in a vibrant environment.
Duties:
- On time and accurate processing of supplier invoices, including investigation of discrepancies and timely resolutions.
- Timely payment of supplier invoices within weekly payment budgets and issuing of corresponding remittances.
- Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements to ledger ensuring accuracy of ATB’s and ledger.
- Responding to supplier queries regarding payment and other enquiries as they arise.
- Daily processing of bank statement transactions to update cash flow requirements and enable monthly bank reconciliations.
- Provide other support to the finance team and other teams as required.
The ideal candidate will have five years experience with ERP/MRP systems in a similar role.
Skills & Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- A high level of personal integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- The ability to work both individually and within a team as required.
- Good time management skills to ensure all daily tasks are completed.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and ERP software platforms.
- Tertiary qualifications are encouraged, but not essential.
