Accounts Payable Officer

McIntosh Distribution is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join ourfast paced vibrant finance team in Redcliffe.

The role

Reporting direct to the Financial Controller key duties will include:

• Processing supplier invoices.
• Supplier statement reconciliation.
• Supplier query resolution; keeping accurate and up to date notes on issues and outcomes.
• Assist with payment process.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Provide technical support and advice to other team members.
• Assist in the development of accounting policies, procedures, and systems to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Complete financial reports on a as needs basis and provide information to the Finance Controller.
• Providing administrative and ad hoc support to other team members during periods of absence.
• Ad hoc reporting when required.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• 2+ years’ experience working in an office setting.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations in a calm and professional manner.
• Strong data input experience with attention to detail
• Excellent people skills: able to establish strong working relationships and build rapport with colleagues and manager(s).
• Ability to multitask and prioritise projects.
• Punctual and able to manage time and workload effectively.
• Customer service oriented.
