Accounts Payable Officer | 12-Month Temporary Role | Logistics Industry | Hills District

This company based in the Hills District is looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a temporary 12-month basis. This company is a part of a well-recognised multinational corporation that operates within numerous industries and is well-renowned within the communities and fields it functions in.
Your new role
Reporting to the Accounts & Admin Manager and situated within the International Supply Chain team, this role is responsible for accurate validation and processing of invoices, Accounts Payables reconciliation, costing and general administration tasks. The duties of the role will include:
Receive, verify, and code invoices according to company chart of accounts
Match invoices to rate cards and supporting documents
Resolve discrepancies with vendors, purchasing, and internal departments.
Prepare payment batches in accordance with company payment terms
Reconcile statement of accounts and reporting
Resolve and investigate account errors or issues
Assist with costing and admin tasks
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills/requirements:
Previous experience with Accounts Payable AND Logistics/Freight Forwarding experience
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel (competent with Pivot tables, Vlookups)
Proactive mindset with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
A go-getter attitude coupled with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
