About the Role
We are seeking an experience Accounts Payable Officer to join our Accounting Services Team. In this role you will enhance Council's service provision to the community and overall experience by communicating and promoting Council's policies and range of professional services to clients, staff and other agencies. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience working in an Accounts Payable environment
- Demonstrated understanding of, and ability to use, Corporate Information Systems and other computer applications to meet business needs.
- Demonstrated understanding of the relationships between the Accounts Payable function and a large organisation such as Council.
- Demonstrated provision of timely, accurate and professional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative and innovation when investigating, analysing & solving problems or taking advantage of opportunities.
- Demonstrated understanding of and ability to apply purchasing principle.
