We have an opportunity for an Accounts Payable (AP) Team Leader to join our Ashurst Service Central (ASC) - Finance team in Brisbane. This is a permanent position and will include some the following responsibilities:
- Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture;
- Coaching and developing the Accounts Payable team;
- Managing the resource profile of the team ensuring necessary resources are available during peak and steady periods to support BAU, additionally delegating tasks, setting deadlines and facilitating regular team meetings;
- Delivering training when required to team members and business users;
- Ensuring supplier invoices are paid on a timely basis;
- Ensuring supplier records are accurate and up to date;
- Reviewing and approving supplier payments;
- Assisting international offices with queries and processing;
- Assisting in the processing of invoices, expenses, payments and supplier details as necessary;
- Assisting with firm corporate card program - including applications, cancellations, fraud claims, general administration;
- Completing monthly bank reconciliations.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong leadership and management of AP team(s)
- Proven track record of providing quality customer service
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and assist other team members to achieve collective goals
- Demonstrated experience responding to high volumes of queries, ensuring quality output
- Ability to communicate effectively with clear and concise language verbally and with written correspondence
- Strong knowledge of expense management systems (EMS)
- Experience with management of corporate card program
- Experience with Purchase Order system
- Ability to deal with tight deadlines and demonstrate flexibility as required to perform under pressure
- Excellent team player with the ability to work co-operatively and flexibly within own team and across other teams
- Good level of MS Office including Excel
- High level of attention to detail
