This is a permanent full time position within the Catholic Education Office (CEO) and forms part of the Finance, Facilities and Planning team. A key accountability of this position is providing stewardship and accountability of the Accounts Payable Processes on behalf of Schools and the CEO.
This position supports the Financial Accountant by leading the day to day activity of Accounts Payable Team. The position encompasses working closely with our Enterprise Software, Technology One and related software, Kofax and EFTSure. This includes:
- Providing day to day leadership and guidance to Accounts Payable team to deliver on all objectives, responsibilities and deadlines
- Providing general support for all Accounts Payable transactions in Technology One to all stakeholders across Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong
- Ensuring all creditor invoices processed by the Accounts Payable team are correctly coded and authorised for payment
- Supporting supplier onboarding and maintenance through EFTsure & Technology One to ensure security of payments
- Liaising with software providers to ensure effective use of applications, ensuring efficient work practices and continuous improvement in processes
Please address the following points in your application
- Minimum 3 years Experience in a Finance Office environment and Accounts Payable
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage team workflow
- Proven experience in Team Leadership or demonstrated ability to support and lead a team
- High level attention to detail
- Ability to support the continued management and improvement of related finance software applications
- Autonomy to resolve matters related to role and responsibilities in first instance
- Minimum Cert IV in Business/Finance Administration or studying towards the completion of such qualification
- Minimum 3 years Experience in a Finance Office environment and Accounts Payable
- Demonstrated experience using finance applications with a high degree of competency, including MS Office, Google applications and related Accounting software, as well as intermediate excel skills
